Tasty Tagliatelle

  • Ingredients

    • 1 tbsp / 15g Dairygold
    • Sauce/seasoning of choice
  • Instructions

If you’ve got pasta in your cupboard, no-one ever needs to go hungry. A bowl or plate of it with some kind of sauce or even just a few simple condiments makes for a great staple family meal, and you can make it even tastier with Dairygold! This recipe suggests tagliatelle but will work with any kind of pasta.

Ingredients

  • 400g tagliatelle
  • 1 tbsp / 15g Dairygold
  • Sauce/seasoning of choice

Instructions

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil, and cook your tagliatelle as normal.

10-12 minutes will normally do it, but if you prefer yours a little al dente or firmer (like the Italians do), then check it every 30 seconds or so from the 7-minute mark until it’s chewy but not crunchy.

Once your pasta is cooked and drained, simply keep it in the pot it was cooked in and stir in a scoop of Dairygold. Not only will it enhance its flavour, it will keep the strands of tagliatelle moist and separated for longer, reducing the risk of it clumping together on the plate.

If you don’t have time to make a sauce, just serve it warm with a little cracked black pepper and a generous grating of Parmesan cheese! Simple and delicious…

Of course, if you do have time to make an accompanying sauce, there are lots of excellent tagliatelle dish recipes to be found. Here are some starter suggestions:

Classic carbonara, with bacon, egg, cream and black pepper.
